Led by Rev. Michael with contributions. Lessons from our lives. This week will be an opportunity to share some of our own personal experiences of when aspects of our lives have turned out well and given us bouquets and other times when life has been hard for us. 11:00 - 12:00 In-person service
Rev. CJ McGregor will be leading our in-person service on the third Sunday of the month while Michael is ‘Minister for the Week’ at Unitarian Summer School in the village of Great Hucklow. CJ’s title is The First Liberal. CJ writes: ‘The serpent in the Garden of Eden was the first liberal, and I am proud to claim his questioning ways for myself. This piece of biblical text causes me to contemplate what was lost when Adam and Eve were exiled from the garden and what they gained. Is there another way of interpreting humanity's fall that offers us something rather than only taking it away? Our liberal tradition says yes.’
